DATA LIFETIME

DATA LIFETIME MODE - this is the lifetime of the data being stored on the hard-disk.

This option if disabled means that recordings will remain on the hard-disk indefinitely, only to be

erased manually or automatically per the RECORD MODE settings, which are;

The Intellex will continue to record information on the hard-disk until it is full. After this, depending

on the option chosen, it will either stop recording or over-write the oldest information.

However, you may have reason to discard of information after a certain period of time – regardless

of your storage opportunities. You can set this as a set period for all your camera’s.

Click ALL CAMERAS, then simply choose the number of days recordings you wish to hold.

Any older information will automatically be deleted. This deletion is done daily, at the start time

entered.

If you wish to hold significant periods of recordings on certain camera’s, say 1 or 2 camera’s – this

can be done by compensating with less important camera’s. For example;

You would like to store 2 months of information from your front door camera and reception camera.

But your remaining indoor camera’s would not be required after 30 days. Your rear external

camera’s hold only trivial information. By changing the settings on these camera’s, you could

achieve these requirements by using only marginal extra hard-disk space on your system.

To do this;

Click SELECT CAMERAS. Now click setup. Then enter the days required for each, example;

Camera: FRONT DOOR DAYS: 60

Camera: RECEPTION DAYS: 60

Camera: REAR 1 DAYS: 10

Camera: REAR 2 DAYS: 10

Camera: ROOM 1 DAYS: 30

Camera: ROOM 2 DAYS: 30
